I am Réka Farkas, graduated as designer
and design manager at the Hungarian University of Crafts and Design (MOME) in 2005. After the university studies, I was involved in selling my own products and leading craft workshops, then learned leather crafting at the Hungarian Heritage House. In a few months, I managed the  Open Studio at the Museum of Hungarian Applied Folk Art/ Hungarian Heritage House for 10 years. As an program manager, my aim is to build relationships between the folk artist and industrial designer, and promote folk crafts as widely as possible, so we launched 7 years ago within the Open Workshop Creative Communities the “ Little Black Project”, which aims to re-use elements of traditional popular costumes in the framework of the theme ‘little
black dress’. Now i organizing program in an other complex cultural center, and teach at the Art School in Üröm. I am also committed to protecting the environment. I have experienced the
impact of climate change, so I have changed my work, and I am now working with Ildikó Barta, a biogardener with great experience in permaculture.

In my current work, I feel that I can explore solutions and good practices to work against climate change.
